Residents speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the drainage overflow had caused waterlogging in the area, creating inconvenience for pedestrians, commuters and local residents.
“We approached the LCMA after the drainage started overflowing and causing waterlogging. The response from the authority was prompt and we appreciate their intervention,” Nazir Ahmed, a local from the area said.
Another resident, Abdul Majeed Dar, said the issue had been causing inconvenience to people in the area and urged the authorities to ensure a permanent solution.
“We are thankful to the LCMA and to Executive Engineer of Nishat second division for taking cognisance of our complaint and responding promptly. We hope the necessary work will be carried out soon so that the problem does not recur,” he said.
Pertainly, locals appreciated the authority’s response and said timely intervention would help prevent further waterlogging and inconvenience in the area—(KNO)
